Class Agenda #6: Monarchs

SLT: I can use similarity to define trigonometric ratios as properties of the angles in a triangle.

Opener: Two sides of a right triangle have lengths of 9 cm and 15 cm.  What is the length of the third side of this triangle?  (There are two different solutions to this problem.)

Notes: How can you know if your theoretical values are accurate?  Tiben explains.

The Monarchs came up with these theoretical values for their rectangle ratio on 2/6/13. Were they right?

  2. Problem Set #3 is due on Thursday at 3:30 pm
